In Dreams | Norwegian Fjord
From directly above a Norwegian fjord, two kayakers move through water so deep it reads as black - the fjord walls cut off at both edges of the frame, the kayaks the only evidence that anything human has ever been here.

"The quality of the images was greater than I could have ever hoped for. I am proud to call myself a collector of his work."
Matthew D. ·
Norwegian fjords are some of the deepest bodies of water on earth — in places exceeding 1,300 metres — carved by glaciers over millions of years into vertical-walled corridors that make everything inside them feel small. Two kayakers navigating one of these corridors, shot from altitude, are reduced to two small bright shapes against an expanse of water so dark it reads almost black. The scale of the fjord makes the image. The kayakers make the scale comprehensible.
In Dreams is the most minimal image in the Airpixels collection — almost entirely negative space, two small shapes, and an overwhelming sense of depth. It brings quiet into any room it enters, and rewards the long look with a growing sense of just how much water surrounds those two figures.
