"The quality of the images was greater than I could have ever hoped for. I am proud to call myself a collector of his work."
Matthew D. ·
Scoresbysund on Greenland's east coast is the largest fjord system on earth - a network of waterways so remote that most of it has no name on any map. The Sun Glacier sits deep within it, accessible only by boat or from the air. From altitude, the compression of geological time becomes visible: crevasse fields, meltwater channels, and the distinct blue that only appears in ice old enough to have expelled every air bubble - ice that formed centuries before the industrial age.
The image is dominated by blue in every register, from near-white at the surface fractures to deep cobalt in the crevasse shadows. It works as a singular statement piece in interiors that can hold something with real visual weight - large format particularly rewards the detail in this one.
