Playa del Silencio | Asturias, Northern Spain
Playa del Silencio, Asturias — a curved shoreline where turquoise water meets pale sand beneath cliffs of green. The tide draws a soft double line along the beach, quiet and unhurried.

"The quality of the images was greater than I could have ever hoped for. I am proud to call myself a collector of his work."
Matthew D. ·
Playa del Silencio sits tucked beneath steep cliffs on the Asturian coast of northern Spain, reachable only by a long stairway carved into the rock. The name means Beach of Silence, and even at midday the cove holds a stillness rare for the coastline, waves arriving softly, the sound absorbed by cliffs on every side. From above, the beach curves into the ocean in a wide arc, its edge traced twice by receding tide lines, while turquoise water deepens gradually into the darker blue of the open Cantabrian Sea.
Playa del Silencio captures the beach at its most balanced moment, water, sand, and cliff-side green meeting along one continuous curve. There's little else in the frame to distract from it. A print built around calm, for a room that could use more of it.
