Forest Roads – Aerial Fine Art Print | Stockholm, Sweden | Tobias Hägg
From altitude above Stockholm, a forest road runs straight through an unbroken canopy of summer green - the early morning sun catching the treetops from the side, the road itself a pale line disappearing in both directions.

"The quality of the images was greater than I could have ever hoped for. I am proud to call myself a collector of his work."
Matthew D. ·
The forests that surround Stockholm extend in every direction from the city boundary - mixed pine, spruce and birch that close over the minor roads running through them within metres of the tarmac. From the ground the canopy is total. From altitude the relationship inverts: the forest becomes a continuous surface and the road becomes the subject, a single human line through something that shows no other evidence of human presence. Shot at sunrise, the low side light gives the canopy texture and depth that flat midday light removes entirely.
The portrait format gives this image more vertical space than Forest Roads II - the road extending further into the frame in both directions, the sense of distance more pronounced. The two work well as a pair but each stands on its own.
