Desert Veins II | Goblin Valley, Utah
From directly above Goblin Valley, a different section of the same Jurassic terrain - the erosion channels running at a different angle, the texture denser, the shadow patterns producing a composition that reads as entirely its own image.

"The quality of the images was greater than I could have ever hoped for. I am proud to call myself a collector of his work."
Matthew D. ·
The sandstone terrain of Goblin Valley in the San Rafael Swell has been carved by wind and water into a surface of extraordinary complexity - drainage channels, eroded ridgelines and differential rock hardness producing a texture that changes completely from one section of the valley to the next. Desert Veins II captures a different frame of the same landscape, where the channel geometry runs differently and the density of the surface pattern shifts. Seen together the two images show how much variation exists within a single geological formation - shot from the same altitude, same desert, entirely different composition.
The warm red and ochre palette is consistent with Desert Veins and the two work naturally as a pair, but each holds its own as a standalone image. It suits any space where the Utah desert collection belongs - both images together work particularly well across a wide wall where the geological continuity between them becomes a conversation.
