Tones of Autumn | Småland, Sweden
From directly above Småland, the forest canopy at peak autumn shows the full colour range of the turn in a single frame - deep crimson, burnt orange, warm gold and yellow-green among the dark evergreens, each tree crown its own distinct colour against its neighbours.

"The quality of the images was greater than I could have ever hoped for. I am proud to call myself a collector of his work."
Matthew D. ·
Småland in southern Sweden is one of the most forested regions in the country - a mixed landscape of oak, birch, rowan and pine that turns across a wider colour range than the birch-dominated forests of the north. In early autumn, before the full drop, the canopy holds every stage of the transition simultaneously - the rowans already deep crimson, the oaks still reluctant green, the birches mid-gold, the maples burning orange. From directly above, each tree crown reads as a distinct colour patch, the variety so complete that the image functions as a colour study as much as a landscape photograph.
Where Autumn Puzzle from Tuscany leans toward blue-green and gold, this image has a wider and warmer range - the red of the rowans in particular giving it a colour point that the Tuscan image lacks. It works in any interior where seasonal warmth and colour richness are the intention, and is one of the most immediately appealing images in the collection for spaces that need to feel alive.
